Most famous for the precious honey that is made from the flower and the essential oil that is extracted from the leaf, the whole mānuka plant has many wonderful properties. Mānuka has a strong healing action on the digestive function, and is used for diarrhoea, irritable bowel, indigestion and colic.

Nutritional content

Mānuka has been used for centuries to treat all sorts of ailments. Mānuka leaf is a natural antibiotic and has antibacterial properties which can be used to soothe a cough, cold or fever, and treat different types of infections.

It was used extensively in traditional Māori medicine for a wide range of fungal infections from tinea and candida, as well as many different types of bacterial infections.

Where our mānuka leaf is grown

Our certified organic mānuka leaf is grown on a family-owned farm in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. Dan and Laureen are passionate about preserving our wild native flora.

They believe it’s important to trace what you eat back to its origin, which is why all their crops are grown organically in a way that has a positive effect on the land and ecosystem.
